Frank Xaver Enderle was born May 5, 1884 in Obertingau, Germany (shown at right). His father, Nariss Enderle, a professional farmer was born October 28, 1845, died August 12, 1891. His mother Krezentia was born May 21, 1858, died July 26, 1893. Frank X. Enderle was orphaned at the age of 9. In 1906 he married Austrian Rosina Mullner and emigrated from Germany to the United States. They had three sons, Frank Christian, Frank X. Jr. and Arthur T. Frank X. Sr.'s first business was a milk shop then came a hardware store. In 1920 he founded Enderle Concrete Company, which was located on San Fernando Road in the City of Los Angeles, it was here he invented the concrete burial vault.

After the death of Frank X. Enderle, Sr. (shown at left, center) his son Arthur T. took control of the company. Arthur continued the success of the family business on San Fernando Road until 1976 he moved Enderle Concrete Company, now known as Enderle Vault Company to the City of Inglewood.

Frank X. Sr., Rosina and Arthur T. are buried in the City of Glendale.

Today Enderle Vault Company continues to maintain the prestigious heritage that was established in 1920. It is one of the leading manufacturers of burial vaults in the industry.
